Hey Guys, even though this thread is 4 yrs old. I figure it's better to bump it than to start a thread on the same topic. I'm a newbie and recently learned about the missing articles issue. I followed this thread's recommendation to use Tweaknews. I have a subscription to newshosting. In my sabnzbd configuration, I added tweaknews.

Jan 15, 2015 · So if your download is too old or just getting past the threshold you might get huge parts missing and after a few days, everything will be gone. Some providers actually only provide retention “up to” a certain number of days which means some groups will have shorter binary retention than others.
In the past, incomplete (missing) files were common on Usenet. Today obfuscated files have made download errors extremely rare on Usenet.
